Oh, these two!! When Michelle first reached out to me to photograph her and Michael’s engagement session in Downtown Chicago, I was just ecstatic! Engagement session in the windy city are always stunning and give off the most elegant feel, and this session was no exception!!
Michelle and Michael’s love story is too sweet-they have been absolutely killin’ the long distance relationship, and I know they’re so so excited to be living within the same area code again here soon! They’re full of big laughs and genuine smiles which makes my little wedding-loving heart just melt!! Oh, and can we just talk about their outfits?! When Michelle told me about the outfits she had in mind after looking through my outfit planning guide, I could have squealed with excitement because I knew they were going to show up looking as adorable as can be! These red heels were the perfect touch!
Earlier in the week, the forecast showed some rain, and we were crossing our fingers in hopes that it would clear up before Saturday. Luckily, the rainy forecast completely cleared up on the day of their session (seriously went from 80% chance of rain to 0% chance!!), but the strong winds were definitely chilly! These two toughed out the cold like champs, and I just love them for that!
We started their session walking down the Riverwalk, and I loved how elegant the buildings looked paired with their outfits. The space by The Wrigley Building was absolutely adorable, and represented their style so well! After a quick outfit change, we walked down to the Art Institute to find the beautiful South Garden was closed (boo!). As we started to walk back towards Millenium Park, we found the cutest little spots to capture some more photos!
Michelle and Michael, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph this sweet time in your lives!! Your love is so genuine, and I absolutely loved capturing it!! XO!
